The City Welfare

What we do

A three stage model for London families.

From emergency food on the doorstep to long term stability, we walk alongside families through every stage of getting back on their feet.

Stage 01

Emergency Relief

Weekly food hampers, meal vouchers, toiletries and baby care packages delivered directly to homes, hostels and community centres across London.

  • Fresh produce, ambient staples and household essentials
  • Meal vouchers for families with cooking facilities
  • Baby care packages: formula, nappies, wipes, clothing
  • Rapid response for families in acute crisis

Stage 02

Community Support

Trusted relationships, not one off drops. Ambassadors and mentors work directly with families through home visits, workshops and school programmes.

  • Home visits and one to one mentorship
  • Workshops on nutrition, budgeting and wellbeing
  • School supply programmes for children
  • Ambassador network embedded in local communities

Stage 03

Long Term Stability

We stay long enough to matter. Education support, employment signposting and sustained community care that helps families build a life beyond the crisis.

  • Education support and study resources
  • Employment signposting and CV guidance
  • Sustained follow up over months, not weeks
  • Referrals to trusted partner services

Food Rescue Initiative

Good food, redirected.

Working with retail and industry partners, we rescue surplus food that would otherwise go to waste and route it straight into hampers for families the same week. Less waste. More meals.

In their words

"The City Welfare supported me through my pregnancy and the first months of my newborn's life. As a disabled mother of three, that consistency meant everything. They didn't disappear after one delivery."
